Properties also spent more time on the market. The average days on market increased from 34 days in August 2025 to 38 days in August 2026, an increase of 11.76%.

This suggests that buyers may have more time to consider their options, while sellers need to pay close attention to pricing, presentation and marketing strategy when listing a home for sale in Etobicoke.

For buyers, the increase in average days on market may provide additional opportunity to carefully evaluate properties and negotiate where appropriate. With a broad selection of housing types available, buyers can compare condos, townhomes, semi-detached homes and detached properties throughout Etobicoke.

For sellers, the market emphasizes the importance of getting the details right. A well-priced and well-presented property can stand out in a market where homes are taking slightly longer to sell.

Every neighbourhood and property is different, however, so city-wide or area-wide statistics should always be considered alongside the specific characteristics of your home.
